Who we are

Julian with Luna
I founded Greenblade in 2018, following a successful first career as a creative director. Drawing on the creative and managerial skills developed over many years, I made the transition into professional gardening, a long-standing personal passion.
Over the past decade, I’ve built up a deep and practical knowledge of garden maintenance, working across a wide range of landscapes including small country estates, urban gardens, and commercial properties. This breadth of hands-on experience has given me a strong understanding of plants, seasonal care, and the unique requirements of each site.
Today, I combine that practical expertise with an eye for design to offer clients a comprehensive service that includes both thoughtful garden design and reliable ongoing maintenance, tailored to the character and needs of every garden.
Jamie joined Greenblade in April 2020 and has been a valued member of the team ever since.
His hands-on gardening experience dates back to 2015, when he began working during school and university holidays for a local gardening firm, gaining early practical experience in horticulture and grounds maintenance. In 2019, he contributed to the upkeep of the extensive grounds at The Downs Preparatory School in Wraxall as part of their estate team.
With over a decade of gardening experience in various capacities and more than five years with Greenblade. Jamie has built a strong and versatile knowledge of plants, landscaping, and garden care. His physical strength and natural athleticism are well suited to the demands of the role, enabling him to take on even the most challenging tasks with energy and efficiency. Jamie’s reliability, skill, and work ethic make him a key member of the Greenblade team.

Luke with Luna
Luke joined Greenblade in April 2025 as a part-time team member, bringing with him a deep passion for horticulture and over a decade of hands-on experience. His career began in 2013 when he undertook a two-year Level 2 Horticulture course while working at the Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park.
Throughout his career, Luke has developed a broad and refined skill set. He has extensive experience in planting flowers, ornamental plants, rhododendrons, azaleas, and a wide variety of woodland trees. His horticultural expertise includes propagation, bed preparation, edging, pruning, mulching, and weeding. He has also played an active role in multiple RHS Autumn Shows and is skilled in identifying plant diseases and pests, implementing effective treatment strategies to maintain healthy landscapes.
Notably, Luke completed a prestigious apprenticeship with the Royal Gardens and later held a key position at Kew Gardens for three years. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and dedication to excellence make him an invaluable asset to the Greenblade team.
